END OF WEEK 8 - USING A JOURNAL

Today I thought about how quickly the last few weeks have passed and how I have been busy and have neglected my blogging/journaling.

Over the past weeks I have been to Brisbane, Sydney, Central Coast - Avoca Beach, had changes in family dynamics, a very special visit from the CEO, Dr Paul Cribb to downtown Dubbo as part of my Level 4 qualifications in Metabolic Precision. My time in Brisbane was studying Advanced Nutrition and kayaking down the Brisbane River with the MP - Level 4 team, meetings and Dr appointments in Sydney, girls weekend ( 5 days but we still call it a weekend) on the Central Coast - Avoca Beach, listing and selling real estate, book work for my hubby's business and training my clients at the gym. I love being busy and I especially love helping my clients achieve their goals.

For years now I have been journaling, I love to journal about my life and love reading back through them as we do forget some of the wonderful things that happen in our life on a daily basis. While re-arranging my house I have started to have a big clean out and I found journal after journal after journal with every detail on my food and exercise programs over the years. It was a real eye opener to look through them as at the time I thought I was being very healthy, if only knew what I know now. I never used them for diets, I just liked to keep track of what I ate to see how it affected my body and to focus on living a healthy lifestyle.

If you don't know what you are putting into your body, when you are doing it, what exercise you are doing, how much sleep you have had, how you are feeling on a daily basis, if you exercised in the morning or night, how you feel after eating certain foods and how you feel after doing certain types of exercise, it is going to be very hard to change things and get the results you desire. Everyone has different goals and it is very hard for you or your trainer to lead you on the path of your dreams if we do not have this information.

So if you do nothing else this week buy a journal and start writing everything day. You can do it on your phone or just buy a journal small enough to put in your handbag or pocket and update it every hour or so as it will only take a few seconds and it will help you get to the goal so much quicker.

Today I also commit to starting a new journal as it is really easy to over-eat and skip your exercise leading into the holiday season. Book in your grocery shop and chop and make sure you get in all your exercise sessions. Remember with Metabolic Precision you can still eat lots of delicious food and you only have to exercise for less than 4% of your week.
